I can remember making up songs when I was a child and singing them endlessly to myself. In High School, I enjoyed improvising my very own cornet part in the marching band (which did not sit well with the band director). In college, I became a vocalist and, eventually, a music major. In theory classes, I discovered that I had a talent for composition which helped me solve a problem I had as a singer. Since most published music was not written in my vocal range, I started writing and performing my own compositions.
I have now been writing music for church choirs, bands and soloists for forty years. I have been published by Hope Publishing Company, Word Music, and was a top finalist in a competition on Broadjam.com which led to the inclusion of one of my pieces (with co-writer/performer Rick Schilling) on the "Rhythm of Honor" album by Goodnightkiss.com.
Having served churches in several states and taught school, I retired in 2011, I now have full time to devote to writing and arranging songs for worship. My wife and I live in Bradenton, FL.
I hope you will find some of my songs useful in your church setting. Thank you for visiting this page and giving my music a look and a listen.
